Committed to the cause of addressing global challenges and changing society's lives through means of advancement, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is one of the Top 10 colleges on the CNBC list of US colleges. Home to one of the most powerful university-based supercomputers globally, Rensselaer was the first college to introduce Information and Web Science Program in the US. The oldest technological university in the English Speaking world, Rensselaer's main campus is located in Troy, New York. The other two campuses are situated in Hartford and Groton. Aligning with its objective of "application of science to the common purposes of life," the university is widely recognized for its programs in engineering, information technology, business and management, the sciences, computing, design, and liberal arts.
